Members of BRIGHT deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision on a wide range of subject areas linked to gender, health, abuse and trauma.
BRIGHT plays a key role in the development and integration of the trauma-informed domestic and sexual violence component of the MBChB undergraduate curriculum in Bristol Medical School.
Group members contribute to short courses and training programmes, workshops and lifelong learning courses targeted at health and social care professionals and the public.
The portfolio of teaching is built on our diverse disciplinary background (academic, clinical, practitioner) and on a range of methodological expertise (epidemiological, trials, qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods, health economics).
Teaching delivered by the group is research-led and is co-developed and co-delivered with students, people with lived experience, and domestic abuse specialists from third sector organisations.
